1.       Introduction to High School Soccer and the philosophy of youth sports/High School mind set.

 

2. High School differences: Time stoppages, Field markings, etc..

 

3. Game assignments and payments

      a) 2&3 referee system and what is expected.

          1. On no-shows, who moves where.

          2. Only one referee shows up.

          3. Working the two referee system.

      b) Payment for games...how will you be paid

 

4. Dangerous fields and equipment

      a) Your liability and authority as a referee.

      b) Basis for canceling games.

          1. Dangerous conditions

          2. Referee no-show (varsity game)

          3. Field invasion (your safety)

      c) Filing reports and to whom are they sent. (examples)

 

5. Unit policy and fines or actions for:

      a) No-shows or game swapping.

      b) Drinking alcohol.

      c) Misconduct that puts you or the organization in potential liability.

      d) Refusal to write and turn in misconduct reports in a timely manner.

      e) Blatant disregard for Unit policies.

      f) Explain procedure to follow if unable to keep an assignment.
